Photographing babies is one of my favorite things!
I tend to lean towards the more natural, soulful and minimal style of newborn photography. Yes, I’ll gently (and safely) swaddle babies, but I only minimally adjust their natural positions and poses. I focus on natural light + emotional connections — I want to capture your baby laying on a blanket a special relative made or resting in your arms while making sure to document the precious, small details as well (little noses, tiny toes, etc.).
It’s important to note that I DO NOT wrap newborns or pose them in unnatural ways — if you are wanting certain newborn poses (i.e froggy pose), I’m not the photographer you need! Let me know if you’d like some newborn photographer recommendations!
I do not have a studio. All baby lifestyle sessions must be done in clients homes or on location. If you’re trying to decide on a location, I always suggest a spot with lots of natural light (I prefer to shoot with overhead lights off using only window light when indoors) and a neutral background. Nurseries typically work really well for these kind of shoots!
Baby lifestyle sessions are usually for infants under one year old. For any child that is sitting + standing on their own, I suggest checking out my regular portrait packages.
